In today’s digital age, Pinterest drives the wedding trend world. The first thing a bride will do when she gets engaged is create a Pinterest board for her upcoming wedding, that is, if she hasn’t already! But with so many potential wedding ideas and details out there, the options can be quite overwhelming! Not to mention the standards for your wedding are set so high after drooling through all the gorgeous wedding inspiration on the web!

One thing that I love about being a wedding photographer is that I kind of get to live vicariously through my brides throughout their wedding planning process. My wedding planning days have already come and gone, so I get to have my ‘fix’ through the weddings I photograph! I’ve seen so many cute details and ideas come to life in the weddings I’ve shot, with a few in particular that I think are really cool! So if you’re a bride trying to sort through the plethora of wedding inspiration on your Pinterest board, here are a few Pinterest-worthy wedding details that can really add a special touch to your wedding day!

Coordinating Paper Goods. One of my favorite wedding details that I see is coordinating paper goods and stationary. Having a designer put together all your paper goods (as opposed to just your invitations) really ties your whole wedding theme together! Consider having a designer create you invitations, menus, signage and more! 

Love Anne and Aaron‘s graphic designs that were actually put together by one her bridesmaids! The welcome sign on the right even went Pinterest viral! Emily and Michael had a graphic designer put together pretty much every single paper good for their wedding- including the welcome bags for their hotel guests! The end result was jaw dropping! 

Getting Ready Outfits. Brides always love those ‘getting ready’ photos at the beginning of the day where she and all her girls are getting primped and prepped for the big day! Getting matching outfits for you and your bridesmaids to get ready in really adds a special touch to that part of the day and makes for some really cute photos!

Lounge Furniture. Another thing that I’ve been seeing a lot lately that I really love is renting lounge furniture for your reception space! Renting a few pieces of vintage or luxury furniture to create a sitting area for your guests really adds a touch of elegance to your wedding!  Another plus to doing this is that you can use the pieces in your wedding party and bride & groom photos!

Adding Ribbon to Bouquets. This is a simple but beautiful detail that you can add to your wedding! Having your florist add long flowy ribbon to your bouquets really takes your wedding flowers to the next level! And it photographs beautifully!

Custom Hangers. You probably put a lot of thought and effort into picking out the perfect dress for yourself and your bridesmaids. So why would you want all that hard work to be photographed on some cheap plastic hangers? Getting some cute custom hangers for you and your girls really highlights the dress ensemble that you planned and put together!

Transportation. Chances are that you are going to have to rent some sort of transportation for your wedding day. So why not have some fun with it by going outside of the norm?! Consider renting a trolley or vintage car for your wedding exit or ceremony-to-reception transportation!
