When Rising Tide Society was first founded 2 years ago, I was interested from the get go. So I started the process of creating and leading a local chapter along with some other fellow creatives. Since then, we’ve had monthly meetings where creatives from all over Hampton Roads gather together to discuss business, network and most importantly- form a community. We now have over 700 people in just our local chapter and it’s growing every day! Watching businesses flourish and genuine friendships form as a result of this community is just surreal!
The other local leader and my good pal, Kelsey, and I wanted to do some special for this community. An event where these local creatives could come together for an intimate, fun and purely social party! So we came up with the idea of have a styled dinner! A sit-down plated 3-course meal where we could have genuine conversations and spend quality time with other local creatives! And thanks to help of a lot of amazing vendors, this event became a reality this past Tuesday!
We had creatives from all over Hampton Roads come together for a fun night out at The Historic Post Office! We drank wine, ate good food and danced our butts off! This was basically a chance for all the wedding vendors in the group to be ‘guests’ at a reception for once! I don’t think I’m the only one that woke up with sore feet the next day! This event was exactly what Kelsey and I dreamed and hoped it would be and we can’t wait to do it again! This group of creative entrepreneurs work so hard and deserve a night off every now and then! Thank you to every involved that brought this event to life!
How adorable are these little mini macarons??
We have a very talented backdrop designer in our group, Katherine!
Loved putting this event together with my favorite gal!
The dinner was one of my favorite parts of the night. It felt like a big family dinner!
This event actually fell on Kelsey’s birthday, so of course I had to surprise/embarrass her with a cake!
Love this group so much!!
Then the party got started!! We’ll call this segment “What your wedding vendors wish they were doing at your wedding!”
Roger kept us on the dance floor all night!
So grateful to the amazing vendors that made this event happen!
