My 2nd of two Washington DC sessions in one week did not disappoint! This time was explored the other side of the main drag- Capitol Hill! I honestly can’t remember the last time I explored this side of the city, if ever! The grandeur of these historic towering buildings was just stunning! Give me alllll the marble and white buildings!! Not to mention, it’s pretty neat to think of all the important things that are going down inside these places!

I actually went to high school with Alison! It’s always so fun to see an inquiry come through my inbox from someone I haven’t seen in over 13 years! She and Mike have been such a treat to work with! Alison is so thoughtful and was always asking me if I needed anything and even sent me home with a goody bag of snacks and coffee for my drive home! So sweet! And Mike was always checking in during the session to make sure they were doing a good job! My favorite kind of couples to work with! They were even up getting creative with where they changed into their second outfit when there was no bathroom nearby. Mike went for the superman approach and changed in an outdoor elevator, while Alison was able to sneakily slip into her outfit on a staircase below the Capitol Building!

I loved getting explore these gorgeous sights with Alison and Mike on a gorgeous fall day last week! We actually were supposed to do their engagements a few weeks ago, but had to reschedule the morning of when there was a protest that was blocking traffic into the city! Gotta love DC! But I’d say it worked out for the best in the end! Looking forward to their DC wedding next summer!
