Elizabeth and Evan had a longer than expected engagement thanks to covid and finally tied the knot this weekend after rescheduling twice! It’s hard to believe that they originally booked me back in 2019! When Elizabeth and Evan were both attending UVA, they went to Castle Hill and sipped cider while sitting outside on the beautiful grounds. They made mention that if they were to get married one day, this would be a great spot. And that dream became reality this weekend!
Not only did Elizabeth and Evan wait a long time for their wedding day to arrive, they also waited a long time to go from friends to something more. They first met on their first day of high school. It was actually a running joke amongst friends that she did not care for Evan and when friends suggested they should date, her response was “never going to happen.” Fast forward a few years and they both end up at UVA. They saw each other in passing from time to time, but it wasn’t until their last year that they started hanging out more and developed feelings for each other. Evan confessed his feelings for Elizabeth while driving home from a UVA basketball game at 2AM and they’ve been together ever since!
March in Charlottesville is pretty hit or miss. Could feel like summer or could be a blizzard. They lucked out with a gorgeous breezy and sunny 70-degree day! Their wedding day was smooth and sweet- the perfect way for me to get back in the swing of things after baby number 2! Enjoy this recap of their special long-awaited wedding day!
Such an elegant bride!
Before her first look with her dad, Elizabeth said she’d be happy if he at least just cracked a smile. So when he was brought to tears the moment he saw her, you can imagine that it brought the whole room to tears!
