Lindsey and Chris are yet another example of the power of love and perseverance when thousands of miles stand between two people. Engagement sessions are already a sweet and exciting part of the wedding planning process, but when you’ve spent your entire relationship long distance like Lindsey and Chris, this session is also simply a chance to be together and celebrate their love!

I met up with Lindsey and Chris on a beautiful Fall afternoon at First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach. Lindsey lives in Fredericksburg and Chris is currently stationed in California as a Marine. They are getting married at MOCA in Virginia Beach next year and were in town getting a bunch of wedding planning tasks done, one of which was doing their engagement session! I love how engagement sessions capture a couple in this special phase of their life together- their engagement! You are on the cusp of starting a new and exciting phase of your lives together and these photos capture your relationship just as it is in that moment. I loved being able to do that for Chris and Lindsey this week, especially since their time together during this phase of their lives is so seldom! Can’t wait for these two to finally start their lives together as husband and wife next year!
