Normally when it looks like it’s going to rain on the day of a scheduled engagement session, we just reschedule it. But Lane and Andrew were only going to be in town ONE day before their wedding in November. So when the forecast called for rain ALL day on that one day, we just rolled with it and did the shoot anyway! And I think it just made their session all the more special!
Lane and Andrew’s love story takes place all over the globe. They are both in the Air Force and first met in Korea when they were both stationed there. It didn’t take long for them to become a couple and continue their relationship around the world. Andrew proposed to Lane on Christmas in Prague followed by a New Years spent in Paris. Lane now still lives in Germany while Andrew lives here in the states in Georgia. And they’ll be getting married here in Virginia this November! Phew!
Lane and Andrew were such troopers during their blustery engagement session. They braved the cold winds and rain like pros! And my favorite spot at Fort Monroe offered some great covered areas that surprisingly had some really nice light! Win win!! They were then rewarded with beer when we decided to do the second half of their session at Oozlefinch Brewery right down the street! Lane and Andrew are both lovers of craft beer, so it was the perfect place to wrap up their session! Can’t wait for the next time these two are in town for their November wedding! They are actually getting married in the church that I got married in almost 5 years ago! So cool!
I love romantic rainy photos like these!
LOVE this porch. Give me alllll the white wood!
Gosh, how lucky were we to find light like this on a rainy day?!
Love the way that Lane and Andrew look at each other!
