I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve had couples come to their engagement session so nervous about being professionally photographed and then they end up knocking it out of the park! That was definitely the case with Hannah and Josh. The first thing Hannah said to me was that she was really nervous for the session, but this girl could totally be a model- they were rocking their session! Even in the first few frames! Made my job really easy!

Ever since starting this business, it just amazes me how many sweet and genuine people there are in the world. I can’t believe how lucky I am that I get to work with the most kind and sweet couples out there! Hannah and Josh are a perfect example of a pair of genuine and kind-hearted people. What a joy it was to photograph their love and joy for each other! These two actually first met when they were little kiddos in the same Sunday school together, or so their parents say! But they didn’t reconnect until high school, and then the rest was history! The way they talk about each other just warms my heart. Hannah says she loves the way he makes her feel and once she knew he was the one, the 4 years they spent long distance in college was no obstacle for their future. And Josh says he can’t believe he snagged a woman as beautiful and amazing as Hannah. I’m so honored to be a part of the day where these two say I Do to spending the rest of their life together!

I met up with Josh and Hannah on a beautiful summer afternoon at Norfolk Botanical Gardens. This is one of those places where I could shoot for hours with all the beautiful scenery all around! And even in the middle of the afternoon with the sun shining bright, we still had that beautiful golden light throughout the whole session. I’ll never get tired of shooting here! I can’t wait to photograph these two again at the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth in 2017!! Can you believe that these are the first shots of their session?! Such pros!!   That light and this couple.
