Happy Fall, y’all!!! Congrats to all the couples who got married this weekend not only for getting married, but also for being a few of the lucky ones that got amazing weather!! I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve had gorgeous wedding day weather! But this weekend was perfect! 

Meghana and Michael officially hold the record for how many times we rescheduled their engagement session due to rain! We just couldn’t catch a break! Shout out to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens for being so accommodating and letting us change our date each time! So when the fourth time came around, we decided we would go for it, rain or no rain! And while we did have some rain, we were able to time it perfectly and work around it!

Ashleigh and John’s wedding fell on the first official day of fall and I’d say it was the perfect way to kick off the season! From the always stunning Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards to the sweetest couple and wedding party to the jaw-dropping reception! Not even a string of unlucky rain showers that overstayed their welcome could put a damper on their wedding day!

With the first day of fall this weekend, we can officially say that fall wedding season has begun! Give my all the crisp weather, fall foliage and maybe not the hurricanes! Pretty please?! My fall season kicked off at the gorgeous Pippin Hill in Charlottesville! Definitely one of my favorite venues and a great place to kick off the season!

With fall just around the corner, I know there a lot of you out there planning fall portrait sessions! Whether you’re the photographer or the one being photographed, one decision you’ll have to make it location! And you know what they say- LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! Hampton Roads is full is so much variety when it comes to locations for photos! Beach, woods, historical buildings, gardens, etc. So there is a lot to choose from! 

Michelle and Matt’s wedding was full of class and elegance! From the stunning Country Club of Virginia to host their affair to the classic timeless gown that Michelle wore so beautifully! I don’t think it’s a coincidence that weddings with a heavy military presence (Matt is active duty!) always have a classic timeless way about them!
