Ashleigh and John’s wedding fell on the first official day of fall and I’d say it was the perfect way to kick off the season! From the always stunning Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards to the sweetest couple and wedding party to the jaw-dropping reception! Not even a string of unlucky rain showers that overstayed their welcome could put a damper on their wedding day!
Ashleigh and John are both very driven people. Ashleigh was a gymnast growing up (I can speak to the discipline that life takes!), graduated 4th in her major from JMU (GO DUKES!) and now after many years of post-graduate education, is working in the medical field! And Ashleigh describes John as always wanting to learn more. Whether it’s reading business-oriented articles or listening to podcasts, he’s always trying to expand his knowledge about our society. These traits are just one of the reasons these two go so well together. They’ll be able to support each other’s dreams and desire to reach higher and higher while also challenging each other to do so!
On their wedding day, we got hit with what I would call a very unlucky series of rain showers. When everyone thought the rain would pass based on the radar, it just hung around all day. The ceremony was even moved inside at the very last minute! But when you have people like Ashleigh and John and their wedding party, we didn’t miss a beat! They rolled with all the changes like pros! And they were attentive and cooperative when we had about 10 minutes to roll through all bride and groom AND wedding party photos before the rain came in- not an exaggeration! They were even willing to go out in the pouring rain later in the day for more photos when we realized that it just wasn’t going to let up! And always with big smiles on their faces!
It still amazes me that people trust me with a task as important as capturing a wedding day. I’m so honored to have been able to do that for a couple as sweet as Ashleigh and John! Enjoy a few (well, a little more than few) of my favorites from their wedding day!
Love these elegant and delicate shoes!
What a stunning bride!!
Not a bad spot to read a letter from your bride-t0-be!
These guys were such troopers when we had to really rush through these photos as the rain was coming in. I actually checked the timestamps and we did ALL these photos in SEVEN minutes!! They were total pros!!
FAVORITE!!! Would it be weird to put this on the wall in MY home??
Not a bad back-up ceremony spot! LOVE these urns!
This was such a sweet moment when Ashleigh’s mom clung to her family members as she watched her baby girl walk down the aisle!
This wedding party was such a great group for being willing to go out in the rain for a few quick photos! And everyone’s still smiling!!
This just cracks me up! In case you can’t tell, it was raining just a tad!
How precious is this?!
The setup in the ballroom was just stunning!! Love the wooden chandeliers draped in greenery!

Hi Audrey! Photos are beautiful as always! I was wondering where this bride got her invitations from. Are they also from Little Caraboa Studio?
The invites were actually from Minted!
Soo stunning!
