It was almost kismet that Maryann and Ronan’s laid back intimate wedding came at the end of a very busy wedding stretch for me! This was the first time I’ve photographed a wedding without a bridal party! The whole day was so laid back and intimate, allowing Maryann and Ronan to focus on the real importance of the day- their marriage!
Maryann and Ronan chose the Tides Inn for their wedding day after they did a quick vacation there together a while back. The intimate nature of the resort and the stunning water views in every direction were the perfect fit for their wedding day. But when the forecast called for rain ALL DAY LONG on their wedding day, their original vision for their wedding day was starting to fade. They made the tough call in the morning to move the ceremony inside. But Virginia weather, being as stubborn and indecisive as it is, decided to change it’s mind as the day went on and keep the rain away. So their amazing planning team pulled the ceremony back outside last minute and made their dream ceremony happen!!
Maryann and Ronan are both doctors and met while studying at MCV in Richmond. If there was every a good time to fall suddenly ill, it would be at their wedding where you were surrounded by all their doctor friends! Maryann and Ronan are such a sweet, kind and down-to-earth couple. After doing long distance while Maryann is finishing residency in Richmond and Ronan is doing fellowship in Oklahoma, they will finally be joining their lives together in the same place in a few short weeks! I’m also pretty jealous of them entering their post-residency lives. We’ll be there in 2 years!! Can’t come soon enough!!
Congrats Maryann and Ronan! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your sweet and intimate day! Looking forward to seeing what’s in store for you both!
