I never know what to expect in terms of the mood and atmosphere when I arrive on a wedding day. Is the bride going to be anxious and frazzled? Or laid back and enjoying the morning? So when I arrived to the Vintager with the forecast predicting it was going to rain all day, I prepared for the fact that Kelly might be feeling discouraged due to the weather. But as I walked into the bathroom where she was having her makeup done, the first thing she said to me was “I’m so excited!!” with the biggest smile on her face! It was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen and put the biggest smile on my face!

Kelly and Preston’s love story is a classic story of caterer meets chef. They first met while both working a large event. Kelly was the assistant catering manager and Preston was the chef. Kelly immediately took an interested in Preston and tried to strike up a conversation with him. Preston didn’t seem interested at first, so Kelly gave her number to a mutual friend which eventually made it’s way to Preston. A few months later, he gave her a call and the rest was history!

Kelly and Preston’s rustic fall wedding was the perfect way to finish off our 2015 wedding season! (Except for a New Year’s Eve wedding this winter) As I mentioned before, Kelly is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and instantly makes you smile when you’re around her. Preston is a lucky guy to have that little ball of sunshine at his side for the rest of his life! Congrats to the happy couple and thank you for allowing me to capture your big day!  For those of you that frequent Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, you may recognize the Capodimonte Porcelain flower below that you can purchase in Italy at the park! Kelly’s dad has worked for Busch Gardens for years and is friends with the people who make them in the park! So they had a flower made for each guest as their favors! How awesome is that?!  These girls are such troopers for standing out in the rain for these shots! I’d say it was worth it! :)  Instead of table numbers, each table was labeled with a different herb! Such a cute way to tie in the caterer/chef theme!
