It’s been a while since we’ve had a good snow down here in southern Virginia, so this weekend’s blizzard was warmly welcomed in this household! And it worked out perfect that the snow came on the ONE day that Branden has off during the week, so we were all able to have a fun snow day! And this was Charlotte’s first time seeing snow! She couldn’t get enough of it! 

A lot of you have asked how our Whole30 month is going so far since we started it on Jan 1. Well let’s just say… it’s going. I knew it would be a rough transition physically, but I’d say that it’s the mental part that’s getting me the most. Being surrounded by all this food in the house that I’m not allowed to touch just makes me want to cry all the time. Going to the HPO grand opening last week was a little bit like torture as free food and drinks were at every turn and all I could have was water. Gah! And just hearing the word ‘wine’ makes my stomach flip. It’s really hard to believe it’s only been a week! So basically I’m hungry, cranky and tired all the time. Lovely! But I’m really hopeful that by the end of this, we’ll have instilled some healthier eating habits that will carry through past these 30 days! And if we are able to drop a few LBs before our cruise in February, that would be an added bonus!
