It’s been a while since I’ve done a Weekend Update. I’ve been making a conscious effort this holiday season to choose home life over work life. So if I have to choose between writing a blog post or snuggling with my hubby and pups to watch a Christmas movie by the fire on a Sunday night, I’m gonna choose the latter! But tonight Branden is zonked after working a 13+ hour shift, so I thought I’d check in! 

• Even after over a decade of dating, I’m still trying to figure Branden out. If you’ve ever met him, you know he has no problem being the center of attention, doing a magic trick or telling a set of dad jokes. But when it comes to his birthday, he hates celebrating it. He feels so weird having everyone know it’s his birthday and feeling obligated to reach out or write on his Facebook wall (is it still called a wall??). He even sets his Facebook settings so that it won’t tell people when it’s his birthday! So I decided to do a little exposure therapy and throw a surprise birthday party for him this weekend with all his friends and family!! And he loved it! But I was still not allowed to post on social media on his actual Facebookbirthday, which was yesterday. So do me a favor and go to his and wish him a belated 29th birthday!! hehe! 
• Now I have to make a little Negative Nancy comment on how bummed I am that we were SO CLOSE to having snow this weekend, but instead got never-ending cold rain! The worst! End rant.
• Is it just me or is everyone pregnant right now?? My Facebook and Instagram feed keeps giving me allll the feels when I see a new pregnancy announcement every day! June is going to be full of lots of new little ones!
