This week has been a pretty exciting week for a few reasons! One, our 5th wedding anniversary was this past Friday! How has it already been 5 years?? We’re practically an old married couple! Two, Rachael and Eric were married in a stunning wedding at King Family Vineyard in Charlottesville on Saturday! I seriously can’t wait to show you guys this wedding! And three, today is my 27th birthday!! I’m officially in my late twenties! Eek! 

As always a few tid-bits and thoughts from this past week! 

• So today is my birthday! I’m officially an old lady in my late 20s! To be honest, I’ve never really been a big birthday celebrator. You could say I kind of have a Dwight mentality when it comes to my birthday and don’t feel that desire to do a big celebration each year. But I know that some people love celebrating their birthdays, so I wanna know- what’s your favorite way to celebrate your birthday?? My big plans for tonight basically include binging The Office and eating Birthday Cake Halo Top while Branden works the night shift at the hospital. Exciting stuff, right?!
• I love getting to explore new wedding venues, especially when they are in Charlottesville! That place is wedding heaven! I was so excited to photograph Rachael and Eric’s stunning wedding at King Family Vineyard this past weekend! It may be an new favorite venue for me! Virginia photogs- what are your favorite venues?? I’d love to add more to my bucket list!
• Since I shoot weddings all over Virginia (and beyond!), I often find myself doing long, sometimes 4+ hour, drives home late at night after a long wedding day. And after I kind of pushed that to the limit a few weekends ago, my family made it pretty clear to me that I need to start getting hotel rooms after these out of town weddings. I honestly prefer driving home so I can wake up in my own bed, but I know there’s a limit too where it is not longer safe for me to driving home so late. So I’m curious, what do you guys prefer? Driving home late or catching some Zzz’s and driving home in the morning?
• This weekend I’ll be driving north again for another wedding, but this one is going to be a little different because…. we are GUESTS!! I am so excited to celebrate my college roommate’s wedding in DC this weekend!! And getting to be a guest is just the cherry on top! Jamie and Daniel, we are so excited to celebrate with you guys!
