2018 weddings are officially a wrap!!! What?! Not only am I done with shooting for the year, I’m also done with all my shooting pre-baby! Now that’s surreal!! When I first found out I was pregnant, I knew I needed a plan b for this weekend’s wedding as I would be 35 weeks and you never know what can happen. But luckily baby is still cooking nicely inside and I’m feeling great, so I was able to shoot Katie and Clark’s wedding no problem!! 

Thoughts and happenings from the week.

• If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll notice that my weddings often take place in Richmond, Charlottesville or Northern Virginia. It may even surprise some of you to know that I actually live down south in Norfolk! As much as I love all the gorgeous venues up that way, it’s a lot of time of the road for wedding days! So having a wedding that was actually 10 minutes from my house this weekend was such a nice break!! And perfectly timed since I am super pregnant! I could definitely get used to having a few weddings close to home every now and then! 
• After this weekend, I am officially within one month of my due date!! What?! I swear it was just yesterday that I was seeing two lines on a stick and now here I am, less than a month from my due date!! We’ve definitely been working hard to get ready for baby lately! Putting all the cute baby clothes in drawers, packing the hospital bag and just mentally preparing ourselves for the reality of what’s to come!
• With my due date being January 1st, a lot of you have asked whether I want a New Year’s baby or a Christmas baby. I would definitely vote for a Christmas baby, or even earlier! The main reason being that his head is measuring quite large (4 weeks ahead, 99th percentile), so the sooner he comes, the more easily he’ll come, if you know what I mean. I’m also just so excited to meet him and hold him in my arms!!
