Betsy and Dylan are two of our favorite people! They got married in January 2013 in Baton Rouge, where they both grew up. After the wedding, they moved up here to Norfolk, where Dylan is currently stationed in the Coast Guard. We are so glad our paths crossed last year because it had been so much fun getting to know these guys! They are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. They never had engagement pictures done before they got married, so of course I had to take them out for a session! Dylan is currently in school at the Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown, so it worked out perfect for us to do their pictures there! Taking new people to the historic Yorktown area really makes us appreciate the amount of history we have in this area. Something I know most of us locals have taken for granted. Now I know that Yorktown Beach isn’t just a beach! It’s full of amazing history! We really lucked out weather-wise for their shoot. It was high 60s and sunny! Praise the Lord! It was a beautiful night with beautiful people. I am in love with all the pictures from their shoot! Enjoy! :)
These guys are so much fun!
Normally when I do shoots at Yorktown, I have a few go-to spots I use in the historical area. But this time we ventured over to the Battlefield area too- it’s so beautiful over there! Love all the open fields!
Then we rushed over to the beach to catch the last few minutes of the sunset.
On the way to dinner, Betsy noticed a little ship named The Betsy! So of course she had to get her picture with it!
And I couldn’t resist adding a few outtakes. hehe :)
Dylan was so great at listening to my posing directions. haha!Branden is the expert iphoneographer :-p
