Well this session may go down as an all time favorite! From the light to the setting to the couple- just perfection! Not to mention their adorable pup! Always an added bonus! Sit tight friends, this is a long one. 

It’s always such a treat when couples want to do their engagement session at a place that has special meaning to them and their relationship. For Flynn and Morgan, it was University of Virginia. It’s where they met and where their relationship was forged. It’s where they not only have wonderful memories as a couple, but also timeless memories as individuals. Throw in a gorgeous afternoon at the peak of fall and we’ve got a perfect recipe for an engagement session! 

This session has been patiently waiting to be shared for a while now. Right after Caroline and Mike’s engagement session, I went out of town for a week, then when I got back my blog decided to break down for a few days! But it’s finally back up and running and ready to share Caroline and Mike’s sweet Downtown Norfolk engagements! 

Cobblestone streets, antebellum houses, a pair of sweet pups, an easy-going fun couple- these are a few of my faaaaavorite things! I find it a little bit ironic that I am currently in Charleston while I share an engagement session done in Norfolk, but in a place that looks like Charleston! This charming little neighborhood in Downtown Norfolk is one of my favorite places to shoot! It makes my southern-loving self very happy! 

This engagement session has been a looooong time coming. Even before Hillary and Chris were dating! Hillary is the little sister of one of my best friends, Emily. You may remember her Atlanta wedding from a few years ago! I’ve been friends with Emily since high school, so Hillary is basically like a little sister to me! So we’ve all been patiently waiting for the right fella to come along for Hillary so I could capture another Nichols gal’s wedding! And that time has finally come! 

Sometimes I find that I get along almost too well with my couples. During engagement sessions, I’ll often find myself chatting with them more than shooting them! And that was definitely the case with Kara and Scoot at their engagement session last week! Even though we had just met, I felt like we had known each other for years! Hanging out with them was so effortless, easy and fun!
