Michelle and Matt’s wedding was full of class and elegance! From the stunning Country Club of Virginia to host their affair to the classic timeless gown that Michelle wore so beautifully! I don’t think it’s a coincidence that weddings with a heavy military presence (Matt is active duty!) always have a classic timeless way about them!
Michelle and Matt actually had a big secret that they had been keeping from the majority of their guests. They are actually about to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary! They got married in secret last year and kept it from most people until their big celebration this weekend! Impressive! I love when weddings have such an emphasis on the military like Michelle and Matt’s did. I may not be from a military family, but I did grow up in a military town and even had a dear friend make the ultimate sacrifice for his country while deployed. So when I see special military details at a wedding like Michelle and Matt’s (toy soldiers as favors, red white and blue leis passed out while “I’m Proud to be an America” played) it touches my heart! And as if their wedding couldn’t be more American, their venue even looked like the White House!
It was such a treat to be a part of Michelle and Matt’s classic American wedding in Richmond, Virginia! Wishing them both the best in their new life together!
What a gorgeous something blue, borrowed and old! Michelle’s grandmother’s ring!
Ready to reveal herself to her bridesmaids!
As if this wedding couldn’t be more American, the venue even looks like the White House!
How adorable is this ring bearer? I look at cute little boys at weddings a little differently now since I’m about to have one of my own!
Yeah GO DUKES!!!
