Before we bought our house last year, we had only lived in 1-bedroom apartments. So our bedroom was not only a bedroom, but also where all the junk that we couldn’t fit anywhere else was stored. So we never had the nice calming bedroom to turn into at night. So when we bought this house last year, I was so excited to turn our bedroom to a room that was just a bedroom, nothing else!
We didn’t want to do too much decor-wise to this room. We just wanted it to be simple, calming and clean. A space that made me feel relaxed when I would turn in for the night. Hence the continued gray and white theme, just like the rest of the house! So here’s a little peak into our bedroom makeover! Now we only have the 3rd bedroom left to tackle! I have a feeling that by the time we get around to cleaning it out, it’ll be time to turn it into a nursery!
My favorite part of the room has to be the shiplap accent and magnolia wreath! For the shiplap, we just bought some wood boards from Lowes and painted them white! Shout out to Branden’s dad for cutting the wood into these strips for us!
I’m surprisingly pleased with the growth of this fiddle leaf fig! It has grown 7 new leaves since I bought it in March!
Branden’s mom had this sketch made for us for Christmas! Isn’t it so adorable??
This rug has become one of their favorite spots in the house to play with each other!
And here’s a little before and after look at the room!
And here’s where I got everything from!
Wayfair | Bed, dresser, rug
Homegoods | pillows, duvet cover, lamps, white planter, curtains
Target | gray planter
Amazon | night stands
Paint color: Fall Chill by Olympic

Absolutely beautiful Audrey! You definitely accomplished a relaxing, peaceful, tranquil feel to the room, which are all must haves for the perfect master bedroom! We have very similar styles, I wish I could shiplap everything in our house!
