This weekend I got to dust off my camera and kick off my 2017 season! It’s hard to believe that it’s been 2 months since my last engagement session! And I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple to start things off with!
Erin and Mike’s love story started at their freshman orientation before both attending Monmouth University. It was the summer before they started college and they told their friends and family about a “cute girl from Connecticut” and a “cute guy from Virginia” that they had met, but thinking nothing would come of it. Then when school began, they were both living in the same dorm! After a few hi’s in passing, Erin stopped him in the staircase one day insisting that they hang out. And they haven’t stopped hanging out since! Now after 4 years of undergrad, graduate school and living in different states, they are finally tying the knot and starting their new life together!
Erin and Mike are southern souls and are having a country chic wedding at Bluemont Vineyard this Fall! When we were talking engagement session locations, Erin said she would love something with a southern rustic vibe and a barn would be a plus! So I knew that Windsor Castle would be the perfect spot for them! And the bonus of shooting there on a chilly day in March? We had the whole place to ourselves! I was almost therapeutic roaming this gorgeous wide open park on a brisk winter afternoon with Erin and Mike and the sweet pup, Tretch! Yes, short for treacherous! haha! Here are some of my favorites from their session!
