I’ve had my last 3 engagement sessions get cancelled due to rain. Gotta love that VA weather! Emily and Frank’s engagement session was scheduled for this past Saturday and based on the forecast leading up to it, their fate was looking the same. Rain all day. So Saturday came and it rained alllll morning. Emily was here from out of town, so we decided to go for it anyway. And by some sort of miracle, not only did it not rain, it was SUNNY!! Thank you Mother Nature!!
Frank and Emily’s love story is very similar to that of some of my past couples. They met while playing for opposite teams in a kickball league! So if you are still looking for your soulmate, join a kickball league! It has worked for FOUR of my couples so far! Emily now teaches in Harrisonburg (right by her/my alma mater, JMU- GO DUKES!) and Frank is a college administrator at CNU. Frank proposed on top of a mountain while they hiked Crabtree Falls together. How romantic! They will be getting married this summer in a beautiful church wedding with a reception at Hewick Planation.
Emily and Frank was such a breeze to photograph during their engagement session. So fun, easy going and full of joy! My favorite kind of people! Plus, Emily has the most beautiful red mermaid locks, I just couldn’t get enough!! And another plus, we found what seemed to be the ONLY cherry blossom tree in Yorktown Beach and it was perfection!!! I’ve been dying to get a sweet couple under some gorgeous blooms! Can’t wait to photograph these two again in July!!
You would think that she wore that teal shirt specifically for these shutters! So perfect!
More teal!! So perfect!
The ONE cherry blossom tree at Yorktown Beach! And it was perfect!
