With my 2018 season fast approaching, it’s time for me to get all my ducks in a row before it gets started, which includes hiring my second shooters for the year! Second shooting is such a great opportunity for anyone looking to get more experience in shooting weddings! You’ll get to practice in a less-stressful scenario, build your portfolio and watch how I handle a wedding day! So if that sounds like something you’d be interested in, keep on reading! 

While I wish I could offer this opportunity to everyone, I only take on 2 or 3 qualified shooters each year. It’s important for me to not only find people who are going to deliver quality images, but also treat my clients well! It’s not always easy to keep that smile on your face when a wedding day gets stressful! So I now begin my search to find this year’s second shooters! 

I’m looking to bring on 2 (or 3 if need be) shooters that will split my weddings for the year. This position is paid an hourly rate per wedding day. Here are few of the responsibilities of my second shooters.

• Shoot 7-10 hours on wedding day.
• Carry bags, light stands, equipment, etc as needed
• Shoot on their own as needed (groom getting ready in particular)
• Gathering family members for family formals
• Keep a positive happy attitude all day long!

Applicants must also meet these requirements.

• Willing to commit to 7-12 weddings
• Access to car to use on wedding days
• Minimum equipment required: full frame camera body, 70-200 2.8, 50mm, off-camera flash setup. Prime lenses preferred.
• Sufficient photography experience and portfolio. Wedding experience preferred.
