Astrid and Luis’ wedding was special in a lot of ways. From her veil that was flown in from Bolivia (where Luis is from!) to the toast from every wedding party member and both sets of parents to the fact that their wedding was on a Thursday!! This was my first time shooting a mid-week wedding and I really liked it! You basically get to celebrate your wedding for a very long extended weekend! I’m thinking this should become more of a trend!
Astrid and Luis are high school sweethearts! You know I have a special place in my heart for a fellow pair of high school sweethearts! Everyone thinks that ending up with your high school sweetheart means the whole journey must have been so easy since you were just always together! But there are a lot of unique trials and obstacles that come with marrying your first love. You are both still growing and changing as you grow and mature so there’s always new things to learn and accept about the other person! So when I see high school sweethearts still so in love, like Astrid and Luis, I tip my hat to them and say ‘well done!’
Astrid and Luis are both ICU nurses and I love in Astrid’s vows when she said she still gets butterflies when she bumps into him at work! So sweet! I hope you two never stop having butterflies when you see each other and enjoy a long and happy life together!
I love how so many of my brides are opting for long veils lately! Y’all KNOW I love to play with for photos!
Love this sweet unprompted moment of ‘we did it!’
How cute is Luis’ little brother as his best man?!
