When an ODU football player and cheerleader get married, they throw one heck of a party! With a set of groomsmen that could make up an actual football team and pink and glitter details throughout, their wedding was just as gorgeous as it was fun! What an honor it was to photograph Catie and Erik’s special day!

Catie and Erik first met while attending ODU their freshman year. He was big shot football player and she was the cute blonde cheerleader. So their love story is basically right out of a 90’s romantic comedy! But unlike those stories where the ‘popular’ kids are stuck up and mean, Catie and Erik couldn’t be any sweeter or more kind-hearted, making them even more of a perfect pair. It’s been such a joy getting to know these two and be a part of their big day. It was such an honor documenting their DREAM southern blush wedding at Shadow Creek! Such a stunner!  Oh my gosh, could these flowers girls be any more precious?? And those dresses!!  Want to occupy two cranky kids? Have the videographers fly their drone overhead!  When the groomsmen are largely comprised of football players, you get a picture like this! And the groomsman ‘snapping’ the bouquet is actually the long snapper for the Greenbay Packers! So cool!   These guys really wanted to catch the garter/football!  Of course, they had to play the ODU fight song for the cheerleaders in the room to dance to!
