I’m so blessed to be able to capture the joy and excitement surrounding a couple’s engagement for so many wonderful couples. But this session was particularly special because it was for my college roommate!! Seeing her so happy with a wonderful man and being able to capture that happiness for them is just priceless!

Jamie and I were roommates for 3 years at JMU. GO DUKES! We were actually randomly assigned to be in the same apartment, but we were definitely meant to be friends! We both shared the neat-freak OCD qualities that made us perfect roommates and we enjoyed so many of the same college activities and experiences- intramural football, tail gates and football games, apple picking in the fall, workout classes at UREC and more! 

Jamie stayed at JMU one year after me to complete her Masters degree for teaching, which is when she met Daniel! They both went to JMU, but actually met online! They hit it off right away and even changed some of their post-graduation plans so they could be together. They now live in DC together and are planning their dream DC wedding! I can’t wait to see them become husband and wife as a GUEST next summer!

We met up with Jamie and Daniel on a gorgeous fall afternoon in Virginia Beach. We started at Bayville Farms Park for our ‘woodsy’ location. I’m really growing to love this simple little park. There was frisbee golf on the right and a picnic shelter party on the right, but lots of beautiful glowy light and low hanging foliage in between for us to work with! Then we headed over to 89th street beach for our beachy location. This gorgeous beach never fails to disappoint me! Jamie’s joy is contagious and the way Daniel looks at here will melt your heart. This engagement session was so much fun and such a breeze!!  Jamie, you are just radiant!!  You would never know that we were dodging little kids running all around us!   What a stunner!! Model status!
