To say that I was pretty excited about the first Audrey Rose Workshop last week would be an understatement. I would say that I had every emotion in the book leading up to last week. Excited, anxious, nervous- you name it! This workshop was a labor of love where I put everything I had into creating an experience for these attendees that would teach them everything single thing I have learned about this business. I wasn’t holding anything back! 

These sweet attendees were in for a LONG day when they showed up to my house bright and early on Wednesday morning for this 1-day workshop experience. I basically was trying to fit the content of a 2-day workshop into a 1-day workshop. Oy! My biggest concern leading up to the day was actually that I was going to go way over time and keep them until midnight because I just had so much info to share! But the day came and went and it was a total blur! It felt like we were going a thousand miles a minute all day long, but these attendees didn’t skip a beat! They were ready to learn! 

The whole day went better than I could have even hoped for! I had an amazing group of boss ladies that were eager to learn, a stunning styled shoot at the Historic Post Office, gorgeous weather, plus a goofy husband and cute corgis to keep everyone entertained all day long! I may have been completely exhausted at the end of the day, but my heart was so full! And I can’t wait to do it again in August! Which brings me to my next point…

Behind the scenes photos courtesy of my sweet friend, Corrin!   We started the day off by talking all things technical- lighting, posing, composition, camera settings and more! “As soon as I saw Audrey Rose was hosting a workshop I knew I wanted in!! There were so many takeaways from this experience that I will be able to apply to my business. No question or topic was off limits and Audrey was so willing to give away her secrets! I can’t thank my dear friend, Kelsey, enough for putting this shoot together. She is such a hard worker and so so talented!! So thankful for this amazing lady!  These attendees were in for a treat with all these gorgeous details! “The Audrey Rose Workshop far exceeded my expectations! This workshop by far a great investment in my business!” –Jasmine Price  Behind the scenes of the behind the scenes photographer!  During the styled shoot, attendees got to see how I approach posing, lighting, lens composition, etc on an actual bride and groom! This bouquet has to be my favorite bouquet I’ve ever photographed. Courtney SLAYED these florals!   Look both ways before you shoot in the street!  LOVE these ladies!!!!  After the styled shoot we came back to the house and didn’t waste any time before diving right back into it! I then took the attendees through an entire wedding day and how I handle every single aspect of the wedding experience. From responding to inquiries, off camera flash, posing wedding parties, same day slideshow, client gifts, final image delivery and more! I then did a live editing and workflow demo where I edited a few of the images from the styled shoot that day! I walked them through my personal preset, editing process and then uploaded this sneak peek as they watched! I can’t wait to share more from this shoot!! Then we hopped outside for some front porch headshots!! These guys totally rocked their headshots!! How cute are they??

Some of my favorite parts of the day were times like this where it just felt like a bunch of friends hanging out! I think it’s safe to say that everyone left this experience with a whole group of new friends and cheerleaders for their businesses!

After dinner we then went into all the ins and outs of the business side of wedding photography. The client experience, social media, branding, online presence, blogging, pricing, workflow and more! Then we finally wrapped up our long 12+ hour day! I’m honestly surprised that I was able to cover all those topics in that time frame! These attendees went home a ton of new info to apply to their businesses! I can’t wait to see the amazing things they accomplish!!!

We actually started off the experience with a welcome dinner the night before! It was so great to get to meet everyone and get to know each other before the workshop! And a rooftop sunset dinner on a warm spring night was just the icing on the cake!  We were really nice and cozy in my little living room!  Styled shoot time! Helen and Thomas were the best models!! They totally rocked it! AND Helen designed the gorgeous invitation suite for the shoot as well!   We had the perfect weather all day long! Nice soft golden light on the porch for headshots followed by a sunset dinner on the back porch! And I have to give a huge shoutout to my girl, Corrin! She wore so many hats for me this day- assistant, chef, maid, dog wrangler, behind the scenes shooter and more! Couldn’t have done it without her!
