Holiday weekends are always busy for wedding photographers because there are usually a lot of weddings happening on these weekends! I had my first ever Thursday wedding followed by a Saturday one! But then had Sunday and Monday off, which made the weekend the perfect mix of work and pleasure! 

Another weekend, another amazing wedding!! This time I traveled all the way up to Leesburg for Caroline and Mike’s stunning Stone Tower Winery wedding! This was my first time there and it is a beaut! Even in the rain, it was stunning! Getting to explore and shoot at new places is worth the many hours spent on the road! 

After a few weeks off, it’s back to work! I’ll often have a littler break in the middle of the summer as weddings are usually fewer because of the hot weather! It’s funny how even just 3 weekends of not shooting a wedding makes me feel rusty when I shoot again! But it always comes right back to me, like riding a bike! Krissy and James’ wedding took place at some of my favorite Richmond locations and was such a great day! 

Happy Monday, friends!! The heat and the summer have officially arrived!! How are we already halfway through 2018?! This year is flying by! Getting back into my normal rhythm this weekend with just ONE wedding! It’s funny how shooting a single wedding in a weekend feels like a break after the few weeks I’ve had!! I know I’ve been talking about how busy my weekends have been lately, but this was my first wedding-free weekend in what feels like forever! I would still consider it a busy time as I still have sessions and mountains of editing to do, but having a Saturday off like normal people was such a treat!
