As we made the drive to Pennsylvania on Friday morning, we saw the leaves go from green in Norfolk to bright orange, yellow and red in Pennsylvania! We were surrounded by gorgeous fall mountain scenery for Adam and Caroline’s beautiful wedding day! Adam and Caroline are one of the sweetest couples you’ll ever meet! It was such an honor to capture their big day!

Adam is an old friend of ours from high school and even played baseball with Branden. He was the fun outgoing guy that was always playing pranks and making funny videos with his buddies. Then in college he met the sweet and shy Caroline and the rest was history! Adam and Caroline were both star athletes at University of Richmond, Caroline a golfer and Adam a baseball player. They both attended FCA in college and at one of the meetings, Adam gave a personal testimony to the group. As Caroline listened to his story, she leaned to her girl friend and said “I’m going to marry him one day.” Even before she had ever spoken a word to Adam, she knew he was the one! After some persuasion from her friend to finally go up to him and say hi, they hit it off and never looked back!

After a romantic beach proposal in the OBX, they began the wedding planning and reached out to me about shooting their wedding. Even with it being an out of town wedding, they said they just couldn’t imagine anyone else capturing their day. What an honor!! It is always such a pleasure to capture the wedding of an old friend! 

Adam and Caroline were married in a sweet church ceremony on a beautiful fall day in Caroline’s hometown. After the ceremony, we rode the Johnstown Inclined Plane (a wedding day first, for sure!) up the mountain to their Sunnehanne Country Club reception. Caroline was born into a golf family and played her whole life. So it was extra special that their reception took place at the course that she grew up on! Not to mention, the scenery was simply gorgeous!!! Rolling hills and fall foliage for days!!! 

Photographing sweet couples in love as they begin their marriage will never get old for me and this wedding was no different! I am so happy for these two and the much-deserved happiness they have found in each other! It was such a pleasure to capture their big day! Congrats to the happy couple and enjoy your Mexico honeymoon!  As soon as the dress went on, the tears started flowing.  Such a beautiful church!  On our way to ride the incline! So cool!  Snapping a pic of his new wifey!!  I love that when Adam asked to do a skipping picture, his groomsmen didn’t skip a beat and went right into it! What a fun group!  Caroline, you are simply stunning!!   There were so many generations of Tabb graduates at this wedding- us included! There was even a couple that was in the first graduating class!   A Johnstown tradition at the end of the wedding is for the groom to try to break into the crowd to rescue his bride while the guests try to keep him out!Needless to say, the guests tried their best, but Adam eventually rescued his bride and they lived happily ever after!
