I don’t think I’ve ever had a bride as excited for her wedding day as Katie. From her social media countdown to ending every email correspondence with how long we had until the wedding, this girl was pretty excited to marry her best friend! It was such an honor to get to capture the wedding of an old friend from college! Katie and I actually cheered together at JMU. I was a flier and she was my back spot. She had my back in our cheering days and now I got to have hers on her wedding!

Katie and David’s wedding was a perfect example of how unpredictable and crazy Virginia weather can be. We knew there would be rain on their wedding day, it was just a matter of when and for how long. But all those prayers for clear skies really came through as the rain came off and on, but cleared up exactly when we needed it to! Right when it was time for the first look and ceremony, the skies magically opened! And the sun even came out!! I’m so glad that Katie got to have her dream sunny wedding day! 

Katie and David, it was such an honor to capture your big day! You two are such a great match for each other and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you guys! Congrats!!  Katie had her grandparents wedding rings tied into her bouquet as a way to have them with her on her wedding day. How sweet!  Katie loved twirling in her princess gown! So beautiful! We were just happy that it wasn’t raining for their first look. The sun peaking out was an added bonus!  Katie and David couldn’t help but embrace each other after their vows. Not a dry eye in the house!  Married!  Katie and her dad performed an epic choreographed dance to Uptown Funk!
