Meaghan and Spencer’s story started their freshman year of high school. A tall curly haired boy walks into class and Meaghan turns to her friend saying that she is going to date him. And Meaghan is a girl that goes after what she wants, so here they are after having spent more than half their life together, making it official! That first encounter also made for an excellent piece of the Maid of Honor speech, who was the friend she made that comment to on that day in high school!
I always feel for my couples when the weather forecast presents them with the difficult decision of whether or not to go with their Plan B ceremony. They choose their venue dreaming of a gorgeous outdoor ceremony and an unpredictable forecast threatens that at the last minute. I’m always on the side of fighting for Plan A. Your guests will forgive you if they get a little wet or if things start a little late. And that’s exactly what Meaghan did. Along with her excellent team of vendors, they watched the forecast and strategized to come up with a plan to save their outdoor ceremony. So when it looked like the rain was going to end shortly after when their ceremony was supposed to be held, they made the call to switch cocktail hour and the ceremony so that the rain would have time to pass. And it worked out beautifully allowing Meaghan and Spencer to have their dream outdoor ceremony!
This was my first time at Great Marsh Estate- what a stunning place to get married! Enjoy a recap of Meaghan and Spencer’s special day!
The greenery on the front and back of the manor house was the perfect romantic touch!
Off to see her groom!
One of my favorite parts about first looks is when the bride has had a stressful morning, the moment she see’s her groom, it all melts away and she is instantly at peace.
I’d say it was a good call to fight for this ceremony location! What a dream!
