Boone Hall Plantation Charleston SC Wedding
Where do I begin with this one?! If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I love all things southern elegance and where is more elegant and southern than Charleston? Give me all the southern moss, charming homes and pimento cheese! So you can imagine my excitement when I got the email from Brittany last year asking me to photograph her Boone Hall Plantation wedding!! Yes, please!
Brittany is a photographer herself so she knew that Boone Hall would offer so many amazing opportunities for stunning photos! From the iconic long driveway of huge oak trees (planted in the 18th century!) covered with moss to the classic southern plantation home. Needless to say, I was a little trigger happy this weekend and came home with a LOT of photos to sort through!
Brittany and Kyle are actually from Virginia, but after visiting Boone Hall on an anniversary trip, they knew they would get married there one day. As Brittany said, there simply was no where else. Boone Hall was it. And they made it happen! Leading up to this wedding, I had prepared myself for miserably hot Charleston in July weather. But it was actually a good ten degrees cooler in Charleston this weekend than in Virginia! So you could say we escaped the heat by driving south!
I can’t thank Brittany and Kyle enough from bringing me along to capture their dream wedding! As if anyone needs an excuse to visit Charleston, being a part of a special day like this is a pretty good one!! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Staggers!

The studio the girls got ready in was so neat! They had the whole place to themselves and it was right in downtown Charleston on Broad St!
