Want to get in a Spring-y mood? Look no further! Katie and Ryan’s sweet anniversary session in Colonial Williamsburg just screams Spring! From the blooming trees to the fields of tulips everywhere you look- this session is full of cheery spring! Add in a sweet couple that is very obviously smitten with each other and you’ve got yourself a perfect recipe for an anniversary session!

Katie and Ryan are originally from Kentucky and moved to Williamsburg when Ryan started law school at William & Mary. They’ve spent these first two years of newlywed life getting to know their new town. Walks with their dog around Colonial Williamsburg, learning the vast history of William & Mary campus and just falling in love with this charming area. So it made sense that we do their anniversary session in those places! I love what Katie said on Instagram when she shared their sneak peek photo. She said that these photos tell their story. The story of the period of their lives spent in Williamsburg together. All the memories they shared in these first few years of marriage. Photos that they would blow up to display in their home and one day show to their children. Sometimes it’s easy to overlook the story-telling power that photography possesses. Photos are so much more than the lighting, the editing, etc. They capture a unique moment in time and tell that story for years to come! 

What also made this session really sweet is that Katie is a past Audrey Rose Workshop alum! It was so great to catch up and hear how her business is booming since the workshop! So happy for her! And so happy that these two decided to celebrate their upcoming 2nd wedding anniversary by capturing memories that will tell their story forever!
