Megan and Curtis’ intimate southern wedding was a special day after my own heart. The gorgeous Clifton Inn, two sweet pups walking down the aisle, SO much portrait time with a relaxed family style dinner to end the night. This was a really special and unique wedding to be a part of, especially since they really made me feel like family at their intimate southern affair!

Megan and Curtis both have a deep love for their family and friends and their wedding day reflected that. It was an obvious decision for them to forgo the big huge celebration with the spotlight on them and instead plan a beautiful, but intimate family celebration that celebrates their new life together while also allowing each friend and family member to be more than just a spectator. They wanted to be able to spend quality time with each guest in a relaxed setting, just like they would if they were having them over for dinner! Their dinner was even served at a single head table family-style. Like pass-the-green-beans style. I loved that! 

The Clifton Inn served as the perfect setting for their classic southern affair. But Megan admitted that one of the biggest selling points for them was that is was dog friendly! Immediately after meeting Megan and Curtis, it was very clear how much they adored their lab pups, Remi and Colt. So we got along just fine since I am the same way with our Henry and Charlotte! They ‘helped’ Megan get dressed at the beginning of the day and even walked down the aisle and very patiently watched their parents become husband and wife! And all in mint bow ties, of course! Megan loves all things mint! And they also made a guest appearance at their engagement session! 

It was truly special being able to be a part of the wedding of this sweet couple. They both have a servants heart and a fun adventurous soul. It’s been such a joy getting to know them over this last year and being a part of their big day. I’m so excited for these two to start their new life together!  Ummm, can I move in?? Cowboy boots and natural neutral bouquets- southern elegance all the way!   Blue champagne!! I told you Megan loves mint!  Sweet Remi and Colt help their mama get dressed for her big day!   A stunning southern bride!   Megan had to show off the mint bottoms of her boots!   LOVE this bouquet!   Clifton Inn has an endless supply of gorgeous portrait locations!! I was in heaven!   Not only is the Clifton Inn itself gorgeous, it also has a stunning view of the mountains!! Gahh!!  What a beautiful space for an intimate ceremony!   First family portrait as husband and wife!!   I am in LOVE with the room where they had their intimate family dinner!   They had their cake topper custom made and even had one pup sitting and one standing since one is actually more obedient than the other! So cute!   After dinner, they spent the rest of the night outside playing games, on the porch sipping wine and mingling with their close friends and family. What a special way to spend the end of your wedding day! No chaos or ‘making the rounds’. Just a casual intimate gathering with the most important people in your life.  Thank you, Megan and Curtis, for allowing me to capture your special day and for treating me like I was one of the family!!
