Lindsey and Nick first reached out to me over two and a half years ago. They knew exactly what they wanted their big day to look like and who they wanted to be a part of it. They planned every detail and spent those 2.5 years dreaming of saying I Do in front of the dramatic mountain backdrop at King Family Vineyards. So, needless to say, when the the forecast said that storm Ophelia would be blowing through town on their wedding day, they were a bit disappointed that their wedding day wouldn’t looked the way they had hoped.
Outside pictures were a big priority for Lindsey and Nick, so I assured them that we would be watching the radar like a hawk looking for any breaks in the rain to run outside for photos. And we were up for going out in any condition that they were comfortable with. Lindsey, Nick and their wedding party definitely understood the assignment. When we told them we had a 5 minute break in the rain coming up, they were on their game and immediately jumped outside. And when the rain picked back up while we were outside they were such troopers and didn’t mind getting a little wet to ensure we were able to get all the photos they were hoping for! And it all paid off because we ended up with a full gallery of outside photos, despite the all-day rain!
I’m honored that Lindsey and Nick chose me to document their wedding day and had such a great time helping them turn their dream wedding into reality!
