I’ve officially survived my busiest weekend of the year! 2 weddings, 24 hours on my feet shooting, 9 hours of driving and not nearly enough sleep in just 2 days! Plus, an out of town engagement session mixed in there too! Let’s just say that everything is sore! But my heart is so full!! Now it’s time to hunker down, spend the majority of this week on my computer and get ready for two more weddings this weekend! Phew! 

Thoughts and happenings from the week! 

• Branden came out of retirement for one day only this weekend! Saturday’s wedding was out of town and Branden happened to be off that weekend. And the bride’s family is good friends of ours, so I decided to bring him along with me! If you’ve been following me for a while, you may remember that Branden used to be my second shooter! But then he started residency and his weekend availability was no more, so he got fired! Haha! This is the first time he’s come to a wedding with me in years! But he was just my bag holder, no shooting. That was his one demand. haha.
• The Outer Banks is my happy place! So when Ashleigh and John asked about doing their engagement session down there while they were on vacation with their family, I gladly agreed! It also happened to fall on a week that Branden was off, so we took the dogs down with us and made a day of it! They were some happy pups! And keep scrolling for some sneak peeks from their session!
• One of my biggest annoyances during busy season is not having enough space on my computer for all the images I’m shooting! I like to keep the raw files on my computer while I’m still working on them, so when I’m shooting so many weddings and engagement sessions back to back, I run out of space on my computer! Trying to scramble to find big files to delete just so I can upload a wedding I just shot is the worst!
