This past month has been full of plenty of adventures! We are making our way through Europe right now, but a few weeks ago we were doing a family vacay in NYC! My parents bought a once-in-a-lifetime NYC trip for the whole family for Christmas. So my mom, all 5 kiddos (and our significant others) headed up to NYC for a trip jam-packed of all the big tourist attractions! We may have only been there a few days, but it felt like we saw it ALL! We really made the most out of our trip and had a blast! Here’s a recap of our trip!
There were 8 of us on the trip, so we rented to cutest little apartment in the Hell’s Kitchen area. And it was super close to Times Square! SO cool! Hey, who’s that crazy guy photobombing Peter and Megan’s picture?… Central Park was definitely one of our favorite spots. So beautiful! My mom got volunteered to be in a show in Central Park. Too funny! These chairs at the Cooper Hewitt museum were the coolest thing ever! Branden and I were feeling super fancy after our walk down Park Ave, so we stopped in The Plaza Hotel for the most expensive drinks ever! But so worth it! Branden’s all-time favorite building, The Chrysler! Bryant Park was another one of our favorite spots. So pretty! Not a bad spot for Sunday mass! We got to see Les Miserables on Broadway! SO SO AMAZING!! Top of the Rock! Can’t do a touristy NYC trip without a visit to the Statue of Liberty! And in case you’re wondering what the statue looks like on the inside, here’s a peek! Sneaking a pic up Lady Liberty’s skirt! We also go to spend a day with one of my favorite people ever and now NYC resident, Emily! We also brought our film camera along for the trip! Here’s some of our scans! And of course there was plenty of snappin’ and grammin’ along the way! I made the mistake of asking Branden to take a Snapchat pic of my sister and I. Can you see my annoyance growing with each shot? Funny story about our day with Emily. We kind of snuck into one the most fancy VIP bars in the city- The Top of the Standard (Boom Boom Room)! We got a few nasty looks from a few folks as we clearly did not belong! But what a fun experience it was drinking cocktails with a view of the city! Thanks for being so good to us, NYC! Can’t wait to get back!
